The founder

Sophie Parker is a cognitive hypnotherapist and a brand strategist.

She has spent twenty years building brands like Dove and HUGO BOSS, and she runs a London practice working with women in midlife. AUCO exists because those two trainings answer the same question from opposite ends.

Sophie ran the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty long before she trained at Quest Institute as a cognitive hypnotherapist. The first taught her how to make a brand speak honestly to women at scale. The second taught her how to sit with a woman in a quiet room and help her find the thing she already knew.

In her London practice she kept noticing the same pattern. There were plenty of apps for women in perimenopause and menopause, and almost all of them counted things: cycles, symptoms, sleep hours. Few of them sounded like a conversation a trained therapist would actually have. The emotional and psychological side of these life stages was being either flattened into a chart or escalated into a clinical pathway, and the quiet middle ground was empty.

AUCO is what fills it.

What she does here

Sophie holds the therapeutic spine of AUCO. She writes the material. She shapes the voice. She decides which techniques the companion offers and the language they are delivered in. Every response AUCO gives is built on something she has authored, drawn from the modalities she practises.

Track record

Sophie spent five years as Global Director at M&C Saatchi Talk before going independent in 2020. Earlier in her career she worked on the launch of Vaseline Lip Therapy Crème Brûlée at Selfridges, which became the fastest-selling product in the store’s history, and on the global activation of Coca-Cola’s 24-hour Session with Maroon 5 across nineteen markets.

Past work spans Pernod Ricard, Johnson & Johnson, HUGO BOSS, Dolce & Gabbana, Google Android, Coca-Cola, Barclays, Unilever and the Nike Foundation. She was named PR Freelancer of the Year at the YunoJuno Freelancer Awards in 2023. Her career began at the Department for Culture, Media & Sport.
